KOD opened a pop-up shop at Meraki Supply Co. in Kensington on March 4 that was part fundraiser and part scouting mission to gauge demand for the iconic meal in Calgary. Hundreds of people attended the pop-up shop, which raised $4,901.65 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. Calgarians were exceedingly generous with their money — one person donated $1,000 for seven donairs.
